I had a mixed experience at Matava Resort. The location is stunning and the staff was incredibly friendly, creating a sense of community. However, the snorkeling didn't meet my expectations based on the advertised 'Snorkel Fest Package', which was a letdown for my holiday plans.

The eco-friendly design of the resort was appealing, but I encountered some inconveniences like low water pressure in the shower. Still, the charm outweighed these minor issues.

My stay at Matava Resort was a bit of a mixed bag. While the location is absolutely stunning and the staff were friendly, I found the snorkeling experience and food options left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, the snorkeling did not live up to the hype, and some facilities seemed a bit neglected.

Rooms

The rooms were quite basic and took some getting used to, with only the bare minimum provided. Small improvements like loungers on the decks would enhance comfort.

The service was great; the staff treated us like family and really took care of us throughout our stay. They even played a movie one night at our request!

Location-wise, you can't beat it! Deep water is just meters from the shore, and the outer reefs are so accessible. It's like living in a local paradise.
Dining
5.0
Dining could use more variety, as meals were hit or miss. While there were some tasty dishes, there wasn’t much offered between lunch and dinner, which was a bit disappointing.
Facilities

The facilities needed some upgrades. The shower in our Bure wasn't great, and the steps were broken, which could have easily been fixed.

My stay at Matava Resort was a unique experience filled with warmth from the staff and the beauty of nature. However, I encountered issues with the facilities and dining options which left me slightly disappointed. Overall, it’s a rustic getaway that appeals to those seeking connection over luxury.

Dining at Matava had its ups and downs. The meals provided some delicious offerings, especially those from the organic garden, but many times, the food was hit or miss, particularly breakfast which could use more variety.

The facilities were quite basic. I noticed issues with electricity and water supply in the bures, and while they had recently built a rock-lined swimming pool, it felt under-utilized during my visit.

I had an amazing experience at Matava Resort! The stunning location with lush grounds and a natural spring-fed pool was a refreshing haven. While the service was a bit disorganized since they had just reopened, the overall atmosphere and beautiful views made up for it. I can't wait to go back next year!
